Last tuesday july 15 we ran another DDBRIX Distribution workshop in Zagreb (Croatia). For an enthousiastic multidisciplinary team of 18 participants at Haier Europe we explained the concepts of Demand Driven Distribution. In round 1 we used the forecast. Surprisingly enough the accuracy of this forecast was 100% (is this at all realistic?!) but nevertheless the On Time In Full percentage in the 3 shops was 50%, 70% and 84%. Why is that? It’s because the timing of the sales orders is impossible to predict. It’s because customers buy what want and when they want.
In round 2 the team applied Demand Driven Distribution and Priority Share. Using the exact same set of customer orders the On Time In Full % now went up to 100%. Astonishing!
